After OPPO, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei, Vivo is preparing to enter the foldable smartphone market with the X Fold. It was claimed that the device, which had many rumors last year, would go on sale under the name ‘Vivo NEX’. The company even filed trademark applications for the NEX Slide, NEX Fold and NEX Roll in May.
Digital Chat Station, known for its leaks about smartphones, said the device will be called ‘Vivo X Fold’. The source did not share information about the price of the phone, which is expected to be introduced this month. However, it revealed key details that should be known about its screen, processor and design.
How will the Vivo X Fold foldable phone features be?
Allegedly, Vivo X Fold will have a curved screen with a perforated design on the front. The size of this screen, which is said to offer Full HD + resolution, will be 6.5 inches and will support 120Hz refresh rate.
Vivo X Fold, which will come with an inward-folding design, will host an 8-inch internal screen with a 120Hz refresh rate along with Quad HD + resolution. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, the 4,600 mAh battery of the foldable phone will be filled with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
Vivo X Fold has a quad camera setup on the back of 50 Megapixel + 48 Megapixel + 12 Megapixel + 8 Megapixel, while the front camera details are unfortunately unknown. On the other hand, it is also claimed that the phone will have an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner on the front and inner screens of the device.
