It can be unrivaled with its design
According to recent leaks, Apple plans to use amorph alloy on its first foldable phone. This component, also known as “liquid metal” for the kidnapers, will be highly resistant to bending, deformation and pressure and will be 2.5 times stronger than traditional titanium. This will significantly increase the overall durability of the device while extending the life of the hinge.
On the other hand, this special hinge design can reduce or completely destroy wrinkles at the folding point of the screen. Let’s say this is similar to previous reports. Likewise, it is said that the company has long been working with hardware suppliers to improve flexible OLED display technology and focus on minimizing deformations that may occur when the screen is folded.
Let’s point out that the foldable iPhone has not yet been officially confirmed. However, recently, Jeff PU leaked that the device was tested at the “New Product Promotion (NPI)” stage in Foxconn. The mass production is expected to start in the second half of 2026 and the device will be released at the end of 2026 or at the beginning of 2027.
Foldable iPhone expected features
Apple has adopted an approach similar to the Galaxy Z Fold series for the first foldable iPhone model. The device will be 9-9.5 mm when it is folded and 4.5-4.8 mm thick when it is turned on. On the screen side, 7.8 -inch internal screen and 5.5 -inch exterior screen will be included.
