Technologies that are more and more involved in our lives, from our phones to our computers, have created a problem with serious consequences. Malware, which is constantly trying to find new ways to infiltrate devices, threatens the privacy and security of our personal information; raises all kinds of fraud cases.
One of the malicious software that we have encountered in recent months and that has victimized thousands of Android users is a software called ‘FluBot’. This malware, which usually settles on devices with links transmitted via SMS, has recently found a new way.
It says ‘Your device is infected with FluBot’ and infiltrates the devices:
FluBot, which sends a notification to Android users that their device is infected with a malicious software called FluBot and that they need an update, is victimizing more users by using its own notoriety.
The malware, which says they need to update via a link in the notification it sent, infiltrates devices when this link is clicked, and accesses people’s bank information, passwords and many sensitive information. At the same time, the software, which spreads quickly to all people in the directory of the person in question, poses a risk in this respect.
Of course, as in many malware cases, in this case too, it’s not likely to be a problem as long as you don’t click on that link. However, if you think you have made such a suspicious transaction, it is useful to contact your bank especially to check your bank accounts.
