Flashbots has announced its upgrade, which will resolve concerns about censorship and decentralization.
Product leader Robert Miller noted that a decentralized solution is being worked on to address concerns.
Flashbots Announces Its New Upgrade
The protocol called SUAVE, which the company has secretly developed since last year, was announced today.
Flashbots is a service that provides recommended blocks for validators to process while maximizing reward payouts.
At the heart of the community’s concerns was that the protocol censored transactions related to Tornado Cash. According to data from MEV Watch, more than half of Ethereum blocks built today are in compliance with OFAC policies.
The announcement of SUAVE comes a month after Flashbots co-founder Stephane Gosselin resigned following an internal dispute over censorship.
SUAVE aims to gradually decentralize the block generation process using open source. SUAVE, which will allow everyone to contribute, will have cross and multi-chain support.
The developer team will reveal more details about SUAVE in the coming days.
