GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition, which was released for all platforms on November 11, failed to attract the expected attention from the players. The trilogy package, announced by Rockstar Games in October, includes the popular games of the GTA series Vice City, San Andreas and GTA 3.
Fans had high expectations for the GTA Trilogy trilogy. However, the fact that the games were almost identical to the original versions in terms of graphics and gameplay caused reactions. There were also significant graphical glitches that seriously affected the gaming experience. For these reasons, GTA Trilogy, which was hit from the ground, was removed from sale on PC as soon as it was released.
Rockstar promises improvements for GTA Trilogy
GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition was not available with the Rockstar Games Launcher until now. In a post shared on its Twitter account, the company said that there were some files that were unintentionally included in new versions as a reason. One of them turned out to be the controversial sexually explicit Hot Coffe minigame.
Rockstar Games made a new statement today. The company, which removed the GTA Trilogy package for PC on November 12, stated that the trilogy can be played on computers again through the Rockstar Launcher. Referring to the errors reported by users, the company said that it is working to fix them and added:
Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is available again via the Rockstar Games Launcher to play and purchase. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. We’re working to improve and update overall performance as we move forward.
First review scores very bad
The average score given by 7 websites that have reviewed the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition trilogy so far has been 58/100. While the game gets its highest score of 8/10 from Press Start; VGC’s Jordan Middler was awarded a 40/100 score for serious issues that negatively impacted the gaming experience.
Although Rockstar Games promises to fix the problems, the criticisms directed at GTA Trilogy are not just for its gameplay. The common opinion expressed in most of the review videos shared on YouTube: that even the mods made by third parties are better for the game. Rockstar’s extensive revision of the graphics is not within the expectations.
