GTA 6 can be locked in consoles 30 FPS
It is a matter of curiosity how the GTA 6 will work on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Mike York, a former animator who served in GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 projects at Rockstar Games, claimed that the game would probably work at 30 frames/seconds (FPS) in consoles. York did not make an estimate for the PS5 Pro, but the game is likely to rise to higher square speeds with the extra performance here.
In an interview with Kiwi Talkz, keeping the square speed constant would probably be a priority for Rockstar. York, said in a statement that the game may rise to 40-50 FPS levels from time to time, but it is difficult to reach 60 FPS in a stable way. He added that this is only possible with artificial intelligence -supported scaling or advanced optimization.
As will be remembered, GTA 5 was working at 30 FPS on PlayStation 3, and years later, the new generation of consoles reached 60 FPS. Rumors indicate that a similar situation will happen for GTA 6. On the other hand, the GTA 6 will have the best optimization and performance PC version. However, the PC version is expected to be released later.
When will GTA 6 be released?
Rockstar announced that the GTA 6 would be released at the end of 2025. However, a listing made by the Spanish retailer Xuruguay recently suggested that the game would be released on September 17, 2025. This date corresponds to the 12th anniversary of the release date of GTA 5.
