While the discussions on the KPSS questions were continuing, a development took place yesterday that surprised everyone, and OSYM President Halis Aygün was dismissed with the Presidential Decree. After this incident, the first statement came from former ÖSYM President Aygün, while the investigation regarding KPSS questions was started.
“I’m not offended by anyone, I’m sorry”
Aygün, who is reported to have one month left to fill her 4-year term, said in a statement after this event, “We worked devotedly for 4 years. We did not make the slightest claim in the exams, which approximately 10 million people attend every weekend. Some people must have been disturbed by our success and pressed the button. I’m not offended by anyone, I’m sorry.”
Continuing his statements with the words “My forehead is clear, my conscience is clear”, Aygün also talked about his future plans. Saying that he will wait for the completion of the examinations, Aygün stated that he will return to Kocaeli University Faculty of Science and Letters, where he worked 4 years ago, and that he will continue his life as an academic.
