US-based technology giant Apple introduced its augmented and virtual reality headset called Vision Pro as part of the WWDC 2023 events held in June. The product, which has been talked about for a long time, appeared as one of Apple’s most expensive products. Although the product has not been released yet, it reveals that Apple has already started working on the second generation Vision Pro.
Experienced Apple analyst Mark Gurman made striking claims about Apple in this week’s issue of the Power On newsletter. According to the statement made by Gurman, Apple instructed its teams for the new generation title. But there is more to it than that. Some innovations in Apple’s second generation virtual and augmented reality headset have also come to light.
It will be smaller and lighter
Mark Gurman claimed that the most important innovation in the second generation Apple Vision Pro will be related to size and weight. According to the statement, the new generation glasses will be significantly lighter and smaller compared to the first generation. We have readers who remember; The first people who tried Apple Vision Pro said that the glasses were quite heavy and tiring. It seems that users will largely get rid of this problem in the second generation. Additionally, a new headset design will appear in the second generation glasses.
A new solution will also be produced for those who have vision problems!
Apple did not take any significant steps for people with visual impairments in the first generation Vision Pro. The solution produced for those who wear glasses in their daily lives lay in collaboration with Carl Zeiss. In this context; Prescription lenses compatible with Apple’s virtual and augmented reality glasses will be produced. Users will access these lenses through retailers. However, a different method can be applied in the second generation Vision Pro. According to Mark Gurman, Apple will offer products with prescription lenses from the factory. In other words, consumers with eye conditions will have ordered special glasses for themselves.
