Cheaper and more efficient chips will be used
iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus are equipped with the A16 Bionic chip. However, the 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max come with the A17 Pro processor. However, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will use the A18 chip instead of A17.
The 2024 iPhones will use TSMC’s second-generation 3nm manufacturing process, N3E, which is both more affordable and better in efficiency compared to N3B, the first-generation 3nm process used for the A17 Pro chip.
