Twitter will start recruiting again
According to The Verge, in a comprehensive meeting attended by Twitter employees a short time ago, Musk stated that Twitter’s layoff process has ended. That said, Twitter will reportedly be actively recruiting for engineering and sales roles and seeking advice from employees. As you know, after Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, almost the entire executive class was laid off, and slowdowns were observed in the platform from time to time with mass layoffs.
Elon Musk also states that there will be many mistakes in this restructuring process, but Twitter will stabilize over time. On the other hand, it was stated during the meeting that important parts of Twitter’s technological infrastructure should be created from scratch and that engineering teams would be established in India, Indonesia and Brazil, thus ‘decentralizing’ Twitter. It seems that Elon Musk is trying to completely rebuild Twitter and make it similar in structure to other companies he has founded.
