First device with Snapdragon 898 processor: Motorola Edge X

Motorola, which has gained momentum again in the smartphone market, is preparing to introduce the Edge series. The technical specifications of the Motorola Edge X model, the flagship of the series, have been leaked.
Motorola will introduce two different models in the Chinese market next month, Edge 30 and Edge X. Motorola Edge X model will be offered to users as Edge 30 Ultra in the European market.

Motorola Edge X features leaked

It has been claimed for a while that the first Snapdragon 898 processor device will be the Xiaomi 12. The leaked Motorola Edge X model, which will be introduced today in December 2021, will be the first smartphone to come with the new flagship processor. Although the exact date is not yet known, it is estimated that the new model will be introduced in the first week of December.

The core features of the Snapdragon 898 processor, which has not been introduced yet, have been leaked. The new processor has 1 x 3.09GHz Cortex-X2 core, 2 x 2.50GHz cores and 4 x 1.79GHz cores. In addition, the processor will appear in the graphics interface with the Adreno 730.

Stating that it will be introduced with a 6.67-inch FullHD Plus OLED panel, the device will also feature 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10 Plus technologies. The model, which is very ambitious in terms of performance, will be offered to users with LPDDR5 8 GB and 12 GB RAM options.

In terms of storage, UFS 3.1 technology was used. The model, which will be introduced with 128 GB and 256 GB storage options, will welcome us with its triple camera array.

Although the details of the camera lenses are not yet clear, it is estimated that a 50 Megapixel ultra wide angle lens and 2 Megapixel depth sensor will be used together with the 50 Megapixel main camera. In addition, the front camera will have a 60 Megapixel lens.

The device, which will be introduced with Bluetooth 5. 2 technology, will be presented with the Android 12 operating system. In addition, the device will have a 5,000 mAh battery with 68W fast charging technology.
