3D imaging technology is actually something that has been in our lives for years. However, we didn’t see it much on the smart devices we held in our hands. At the time, LG tried this on a smartphone, but it didn’t quite fit.
Now, Leia, a US-based technology company, has announced that they will launch the world’s first AI-powered tablet capable of 3D viewing, playing games, watching videos and taking videos/photos.
“3D is nothing new, but the way we do it is brand new”
With the camera of Lume Pad 2, which is an Android tablet, it can perform local 3D video chat between other Lume Pad tablets, record 3D images and videos, and do this thanks to its artificial intelligence supported camera.
Thanks to this artificial intelligence, you can convert 2D images to 3D and display them on the tablet. Thanks to LeiaTube, one of the applications in the tablet’s own ecosystem, you can share videos from applications such as YouTube, Vimeo, TikTok and watch them in 3D.
The popular artificial intelligence rendering tool, Stable Diffusion, is used to create 3D renderings on the tablet. This means that you can create a 3D visual by describing it to artificial intelligence in a few words.
Lume Pad 2 features quad speakers with Dolby Atmos technology, face recognition, fingerprint sensor, USB-C fast charging, SD card support, SnapDragon 888 processor, 8GB RAM, 128GB storage and a 120Hz refresh rate, 2560×1600 resolution device. It has a 12.4 inch screen. The tablet is currently available for pre-order in the US with a price tag of $1099. Shipment of the devices will begin in April.
