It is no longer surprising that automakers are recalling their cars for various reasons. Ford’s latest warning has also worried more than 500,000 car owners. The US automotive giant has detected a defect in two of its popular models that could cause a fire.
Recall alert for Ford Bronco Sport and Escape
In the latest statement from Ford, warnings were issued for the Bronco Sport and Escape models for the second time this year. According to the article shared by the company, the danger that can cause a fire is due to a potential fuel leak.
According to Ford’s press release, a cracked fuel injector can cause fuel or fuel vapors to build up near hot surfaces, resulting in a fire. The company said that the Ford Escape and Bronco Sport models with a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder engine produced between 2020 and 2023 were affected by this error.
This call, which is valid for 518,000 cars in the USA, means the second warning of the year for the same models. In another warning issued earlier this year, it was stated that the Bronco Sport and Escape could catch fire as a result of oil leaks.
However, Ford thinks that a recent fuel injector failure will affect less than 0.38 percent of vehicle owners. Still, he said that all customers who own a 2020-2023 Bronco Sport or Escape should come to the authorized service.
Ford is among the world’s largest automakers. Thanks to the large, spacious and robust cars it produces, the company is especially popular in the American market and achieves better sales figures than other brands.
