Google Chrome is a browser that everyone has on both computers and smartphones. When Chrome first came to Android devices, there weren’t as many accessibility options as it is now. Over the years, Chrome has become the best browser on smart devices with its features.
A new one is now being added to these features. Now you will be able to request fingerprint verification to access the incognito tabs you have opened in Google Chrome on your Android device after exiting the application. Thus, no finger other than the fingers registered on your device will be able to reach those tabs.
How to turn on fingerprint lock feature in Google Chrome incognito tabs?
- Step #1: Enter Google Chrome from your Android device
- Step #2: Type “chrome://flags/#incognito-reauthentication-for-android” in the address bar
- Step #3: Set the “Enable device reauthentication for incognito” option to ‘Enabled’ (it will show as ‘Default’).
- Step #4: Restart Chrome
- Step #5: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security with the new “Lock incognito tabs when you leave Chrome.” Activate the option.
After following these steps, now when you open Google Chrome on your Android device and log in to the incognito tab and want to exit, the incognito tabs will not disappear, you will be able to scan your fingerprint and log in again.
It is a logical add-on for those who frequently use Google Chrome’s incognito tab feature. What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
