Amazon announced a new artificial intelligence tool for its Prime Video service. The feature, called “X-Ray Recaps”, will provide artificial intelligence-supported summaries of a TV series or movie. Thanks to this feature, the user will have the opportunity to obtain preliminary information about the production he plans to watch.
The new feature, based on artificial intelligence models called Amazon Bedrock and Amazon SageMaker, will protect the user mostly against spoilers. According to the statement, the algorithm was specially designed to avoid giving spoilers to the user.
This is what Prime Video’s new feature will look like
X-Ray Recaps will have a very simple working logic. When you enter the Prime Video viewing page of a production, you will click on the “Recap” button. Then some options will be presented to you. For example, for a series, you will be able to get a summary of that episode, a summary of that season, or a summary of the entire previous season.
Prime Video’s new artificial intelligence feature is currently in beta phase and can be experienced by users in the USA. However, according to the company’s statement, more users will be able to access the X-Ray Recaps feature in the near future.
