Sony brings PlayStation 5 Discord integration!
Sony brought the application to PlayStation 5 after the official agreement with Discord. Discord use on PlayStation 5 can only be done over the phone at the moment. First of all, it is necessary to transfer the conversation connected from the phone to the PlayStation 5 device. Of course, it should be noted that the Discord account must be connected with PlayStation 5.
As you know, Xbox has already done Discord integration and currently, a smartphone is not required to use Discord on Xbox. In the beginning, there was a need for a smartphone like PlayStation, but then it was solved with an update. The same can happen on PlayStation 5.
With this update, VRR support came to 1440P 2K resolution. With the Variable Refresh Rate technology, refresh rate matching is made between the display and the console. In this way, the screen can dynamically adjust the refresh rate according to the performance you get. For this feature, your TV or monitor must have VRR support with HDMI 2.1.
Other prominent features in the update released on 08.03.2023 are as follows:
- Easily transfer all your PS5 data to another PS5 console. This action will not remove or change your data on your original PS5 console.
- Improved voice command feature for PS5 users in USA and UK only. Now users will be able to record by saying “Hey PlayStation, record for 5 minutes” with a voice command.
- Added Friends Playing tile. You can now see which of your friends own the game and are currently online.
