Speaking at Capital Markets Day, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna shared the company’s map of transition to electric cars. According to the statement from Vigna, by 2026, 60 percent of the product range will have either hybrid or full electric power.

Italian manufacturer gave the good news that its first fully electric model will be on the roads in 2025. According to CEO Benedetto Vigna, this electric model will deliver the standard driving sensations and excitement of Ferrari. However, it should be noted that no technical details or model names have been disclosed.

Ferrari R&D Officer Ernesto Lasalandra stated that the batteries to be used in electric models will be purchased from different companies. However, Lasalandra stated that some components in the hybrid program of the Ferrari F1 team will be used in its electric models.

By 2026, 40% of Ferrari models will be internal combustion, while 60% will be hybrid and electric. The roadmap for the Italian giant’s range is as follows:

15 new vehicles have been approved for the 2023-2026 period. Icona and Supercar will account for less than 5 percent of the total volume, and special series 10 percent. Purosangue will be introduced in September 2022 and will contribute 20 percent annually. The new Supercar will also be presented during the period in question, and the first electric Ferrari will be launched in 2025.

Ferrari has released six hybrid vehicles so far. Its first plug-in hybrids were the SF90 Stradale and SF90 Spider, followed by the cheaper 296 GTB coupe and 296 GTS. The company has also developed a hybrid-powered Hypercar for Le Mans 2023.
