Clock speed and power values of the RTX 40 mobile series have been announced
Starting with the first class 90 laptop GPU, the RTX 4090 mobile, the new card will reportedly use the same 175W design as the current generation RTX 3080 Ti mobile. However, the new card, which will have two different versions, 150W and 175W TGP (Total Graphics Power), will offer a maximum clock speed of 2.04 GHz, 0.5 GHz higher than the 3080 Ti model.
If a sub-model RTX 4080 is mobile, it will be limited to 175 W (150 W + 25 W Dynamic Boost) while being equipped with Nvidia’s AD104 chip. In addition, it will come up with a base clock of 1.86 GHz and a maximum clock speed of 2.28 GHz. Coming to the RTX 4070 and 4060, which are more preferred by gamers, it is reported that both cards will have 8GB of GDDR6 memory and a maximum TGP of 140W 115+24W.
Nvidia RTX 40 mobile TGP (Total Graphics Power)
- RTX 4090: 150+25W = 175W
- RTX 4080: 150+25W = 175W
- RTX 4070: 115+25W = 140W
- RTX 4060: 115+25W = 140W
- RTX 4050: 80/115W+25W = 105/140W
It is also stated that the RTX 4070 has a maximum clock speed of 2.175 GHz, but unfortunately, frequency information for the RTX 4060 mobile has not been shared yet. The entry-level card and the last member of the family, the RTX 4050, will come with a TGP between 85 W and 115W. It is stated that the budget-oriented solution will offer a maximum clock speed of 2.37 GHz, higher than any other card.
RTX 4090, 4080, 4070, 4060 and 4050 mobile graphics cards are expected to be introduced at the CES 2023 event, which will be held on January 3. The new event will host a special launch that Nvidia will also attend.
