Google Pixel 8 series will be officially introduced on October 4. Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will be equipped with Tensor G3 and Titan M2 security chip. The Pixel 8 model will have a 6.2-inch FHD + OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, offering a 60-120 Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness. The phone, which will come with 8GB RAM 128GB/256GB storage, will be powered by a 4575 mAh battery that supports 27w fast charging and 18w Qi certified wireless charging. The flat model will come with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP primary and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor with eight PD wide lenses with 50MP OIS and EIS.
Google Pixel 8 Pro known features
Google Pixel 8 Pro will have a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, offering a 1-120 Hz refresh rate, 2400 nits maximum brightness. The 50MP Octa PD wide-angle camera is accompanied by a 48MP ultra-wide lens capable of 5x optical zoom and a 48MP telephoto camera capable of 30x Super Rez zoom. Both wide and ultra-wide sensors support OIS and EIS. The phone will come with 8GB RAM and up to 512GB storage (there will also be a 1TB model in America). The Pro model comes with a higher capacity battery (5050 mAh) that offers faster charging support. Both models have a 10.5MP Dual PD front camera.

7 years update support
The Pixel 8 series is expected to receive updates up to Android 21. This is a welcome development as a few years ago the device’s Android update cycle was limited to a maximum of 3 years.
