The new move will allow users to earn money by creating effects. These effects can be created through the platform’s tool called “Effect House”, which helps make augmented reality effects. Users will be able to earn $700 after their effects are used on 500k videos
TikTok says it has set aside $6 million in funding to pay content creators in its new program. A user will be paid $700 for an effect used in 500,000 videos within 90 days of publication.
In the same period, content producers will be paid an additional $140 for every 100,000 videos that exceed this amount. In other words, if the effect created by the user is included in 1 million videos within 90 days, he will be paid 1400 dollars.
TikTok did not share any information about how to proceed when $ 6 million is finished. Also, the effect will need to be used by a single person once a day. In other words, if a person uses that effect more than once in the same day, it will still be counted as a single video. There is no information on when the feature will come to other countries.
This move of the platform came after users who produced effects complained that they could not make money directly from the platform.
