Online luxury fashion marketplace Farfetch said it will start accepting cryptocurrencies this year.
Farfetch, which operates an Amazon-like platform with products from approximately 1,400 luxury brands, has become the latest luxury brand to announce that it will accept cryptocurrency payments. The company will accept seven cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum and Binance Coin, according to a post on its website.
Farfetch-owned boutique store Browns currently accepts cryptocurrency payments. “With this move, we look forward to encouraging our boutique and brand partners to adopt cryptocurrencies,” said José Neves, Farfetch founder and CEO.
