All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on behalf of Afghans displaced after the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. NFTs of many writers, artists, NFT influencers and athletes will be auctioned and money raised to help many.

Gaiman, UNHCR’s goodwill ambassador, is one of many VIPs contributing to the auction. A UNHCR-produced film of his poem “What You Need To Be Warm” and a never-before-released message by Gaiman will be available as NFT. Winning bidders will also receive a signed copy of Gaiman’s legendary comic, The Sandman, along with a personalized message.

Other VIPs attending include Khaled Hosseini, the Afghan-born author behind the award-winning novels The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns, and illustrator Dan Williams. Housseni’s NFT contains 17 original ink and watercolor illustrations from his short book Prayer of the Sea, and winning bidders will receive a signed copy.

NFTs Will Be Available From January 31st to February 5th

These VIP items will be on auction from January 31, 2022, available until February 6th. However, other NFTs will be put up for auction later.

Kevin Pang, CEO of Mars Panda World, said:

“The wealth and interest in the NFT sector are excellent ingredients to make them a good force. NFTs have enabled everyone to transform their art and creativity into meaningful actions that target social and humanitarian issues.”
