Canadian investor Kevin O’Leary stated in an interview with CNBC that 20% of his portfolio consists of cryptocurrencies.
The 67-year-old investor stated that his cryptocurrencies are worth “millions of dollars”.
O’Leary said in November that crypto investments make up 10% of his portfolio. O’Leary’s estimated total assets are around $400 million.
O’Leary ignored cryptocurrencies in the first place, describing Bitcoin as garbage in May 2019.
Canadian investor warmed to Bitcoin and bought some at the end of 2020 with the contributions of Bitcoin (BTC) bull Anthony Pompliano. He emphasized that Bitcoin was the top crypto asset at the time.
In 2021, the investor went beyond Bitcoin and invested heavily in DeFi.
O’Leary is also known for being keen on NFTs. The investor has cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL).
