Danish programmer David Heinemeier Hansson, who was awarded Hacker of the Year by Google and O’REILLY in 2005 for his creation of the Ruby on Rails web development framework, admitted he was wrong about crypto.
Bitcoin skeptic, Hansson published a blog post titled “I was wrong, we need crypto” in response to truckers protesting Canada’s Covid vaccine mandates. Hansson acknowledged that the protest had misunderstood the fact that every Bitcoin turned into a god and the fundamental necessity of crypto in Western democracies.
Explaining how he has been extremely critical of Bitcoin and the crypto space so far, he said:

The programmer added that he understands that he is too hasty to reject crypto entirely at the moment, adding that crypto has a chance to preserve its fundamental freedom of transaction.
