Ledger partners with popular metaverse coin project

Cryptocurrency hardware wallet provider Ledger has partnered with metaverse coin project The Sandbox to promote crypto education in its virtual world. Ledger’s chief experience officer, Ian Rogers, announced the news at the Non Fungible Conference on Monday. He said the new partnership aims to bring security to the world of The Sandbox and provide Ledger a place in the game to educate people about crypto.

Ian Rogers thanked The Sandbox and the company’s co-founder and chief operating officer, Sebastien Borget, for this opportunity and stated that Ledger will provide exclusive Ledger Nanos to SAND holders as part of the partnership. Ian Rogers also pointed out that the most important part of the partnership will be educating people about safety and said:

The truth is educated people become Ledger customers and that’s why making sure all people have all the training they need to stay safe and we want to properly administer this incredible right and freedom they have.

“Self-protection really gives you personal freedom, but it’s also a responsibility,” said Ian Rogers, adding that it must be taken very seriously to keep it right and not lose it. In addition, a spokesperson for Ledger said the company plans to reveal more details about the partnership at a later date.

Ledger is one of the world’s largest providers of hardware cryptocurrency wallets, physical devices designed to store a user’s private keys. The French company is actively expanding its operations beyond traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC) and is moving to support Non Fungible Tokens (NFT). As we covered in the news on Kriptokoin.com, in early March, Ledger announced the limited release of Ledger Nano S Plus, a brand new hardware wallet that supports NFTs by design.
