Synopsys, the most important developer of autonomous software used for designing in the chip world, faced a serious accusation. It is alleged that the company leaked technology to Huawei HiSilicon and SMIC.

According to the investigation file, some software tools were provided by Synopsys for HiSilicon company to produce its chips with SMIC. It is stated that these vehicles are transmitted through business partners in China.

Huawei and HiSilicon are prohibited from supplying any chip technology without permission, as it is considered a threat to national security. SMIC, on the other hand, is at a slightly lower embargo level and does not require a license for processes above 14nm. However, he cannot supply them to HiSilicon.
