Coinbase provides custody services support to dozens of altcoin projects for international customers. The famous Bitcoin exchange continues to expand its crypto footprint.
Coinbase Custody expands custody services support to 70 altcoins
The US-based cryptocurrency exchange supports more than 150 assets as part of the Coinbase Custody International cold storage trust in Dublin, Ireland. Coinbase Custody has now announced that it has added 70 more altcoins to this list. “These new assets can only be stored through Coinbase Custody International,” Coinbase said in the announcement. They cannot be detained through Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC.”
Coinbase Custody International is a custodian for institutional investors with big money. It entered the market in 2020. It was designed to provide non-US customers worldwide with a highly secure way to store large amounts of cryptocurrency.
Which altcoins does Coinbase add support for?
Among the list of new assets is Aioz Network (AIOZ), a content delivery network that distributes bandwidth while reducing costs. The project’s website says it is fully interoperable with Ethereum (ETH) and Cosmos (ATOM) Blockchains, providing instant certainty and low transaction fees.
Coinbase also has Gameswap (GSWAP), a complementary platform to Shroom.Finance (SHROOM). This allows players to trade Non Fungible Tokens (NFT).
