Instant photo sharing application BeReal, which exploded in 2022, had become a “new feature” of some platforms. One of the platforms that copied BeReal’s theme and offered it to users as a feature was TikTok.
The feature called TikTok Now, which was introduced about 9 months ago, is on the agenda with an early departure today.
Saying goodbye to TikTok Now:
The screenshot shared by Matt Navara on Twitter included a notification sent by TikTok. The platform’s statement contained the following statements:
It is not yet clear when TikTok will turn off the BeReal clone feature. There was no development regarding the future of features from Snapchat and Instagram, which took the idea of BeReal.
BeReal itself did not actually last very long. According to the data shared by The New York Times, the number of daily active users in the application decreased by 61% between October 2022 and March 2023.
