Introducing the metaverse, the most exciting and frightening technology in history, this evening, Facebook also introduced its glasses that will allow us to benefit from this technology that brings together virtual life and real life. Although it has released smart glasses with RayBan before, these glasses did not have augmented reality capabilities.

At today’s event, Mark Zuckerberg announced the details of his new glasses project that will bring the metaverse to our world in the future. These glasses, which will be Facebook’s first augmented reality glasses, do not have an official name yet. Zuckerberg referred to the glasses as ‘Project Nazare’ and explained what he promised.

New glasses are still in development:

As you can see in the image, Facebook’s augmented reality glasses will be able to bring everything digital to our world, before our eyes. We will be able to do messaging with our glasses, and we will be able to carry virtual elements to our world with these glasses. These are the glasses that will make the metaverse real.

The biggest feature of glasses is that they are really glasses. These glasses will have a frame just like standard glasses and a glass about 5 millimeters thick. Using all the possibilities offered by today’s technology, Facebook will put the powerful hardware necessary for the metaverse into these glasses.

What kind of equipment the glasses will have was explained in a cursory way. Among these technologies that the Facebook team has been working on for years, they consist of technologies such as hologram screens, projectors, batteries, a custom-made chip, camera, speaker, sensors that will detect the world around you. Zuckerberg explained that they have improved significantly in this regard.
