A metaverse coin is taking a leap forward as a result of a partnership with Meta, the company behind Facebook. Cryptocurrency has seen an increase of close to 600 percent. According to Monday’s announcement, Gamium will work with Meta and Telefonica on the Metaverse Activation Program, an initiative launched to help and scale start-ups in the web3 industry. Here are the details of the partnership and the price information…
Metaverse coin rises with giant collaboration
Gamium (GMM) has reached an all-time high of $0.00437, up more than 600 percent in the last 24 hours, according to the data. The coin reached $0.0005496 at this point. Although the value of the token is currently back at $0.002852, it has experienced a 405 percent increase in the last 24 hours. The rise in price came as a collaboration with Meta was announced and community members misinterpreted a Binance tweet.
On February 27, Gamium announced a collaboration with Meta and Telefonica through the tech giants’ Metaverse Activation Program. The Web3 protocol said the collaboration will give it access to Meta’s technologies and expert support sessions. The program’s website states that selected startups “may have access to business development opportunities with Meta and Telefónica, as well as access to Telefónica’s open innovation ecosystem and potential investment.” Gamium Co-CEO Alberto Rosas said:
Working with Meta’s AI team has been a great experience. Together we have developed technology to make Web3 and Metaverse more accessible.
Binance tweeted GMM
Startups will have access to proprietary technologies provided by Meta AI and will also be commercially supported by both Meta and Telefonica. This is not the first introduction to web3 for Meta or Telefonica, Meta was the parent company of Diem, a firm that plans to develop its own cryptocurrency. Telephone, meanwhile, invested in a Spanish exchange last year and revealed that the exchange has enabled crypto purchases.
Meanwhile, Gamium’s collaboration announcement coincided with Binance’s February 27 “gmm” tweet. While the Binance tweet was short for “Good Morning Monday,” some speculators interpreted it as the exchange’s interest in Gamium’s GMM token.
Gamium protocol, as we also reported as Kriptokoin.com, said that its vision is to humanize the internet by providing digital identities to users in Web2 and Web3 domains in various chains and metaverses. Most of the trading volume in GMM trading pairs was in Kucoin, Gate and Uniswap. According to CoinMarketCap, the coin has a market cap of $29 million and hit an all-time high of $0.0106 in April 2022.
