Facebook is pulling out of the podcast market it entered in April last year. In a statement made by a spokesperson from roofing company Meta, the feature, which has not received enough attention from users in the time since the feature was made available, will be removed from the platform as of June 3.

Speaking to Bloomberg, a Meta spokesperson announced that Soundbites and audio hub services will be shutting down along with the podcast service.
Stating that they regularly evaluate all the features offered to be more interested in the features that are more preferred by users, the spokesperson did not give an exact date on when Soundbites and audio hub will be closed, but said that access will be cut in the coming weeks.

Podcast Facebook, which had to compete with strong competitors in its market, seems to have not achieved the success it wanted. The company will focus more on Facebook Home and Instagram Reels, which are more preferred by users.
