Facebook, which appeared with a logo change earlier today, announced that it has implemented a new feature that users have been waiting for a long time. It will now be possible to create multiple personal profiles on Facebook.
Meta explained the details of the new feature in a blog post shared today. Users will be able to easily switch between the profiles they have created. There will be no need to log out to do this.
Four personal accounts can be used at the same time
The new feature will allow four profiles to be added to the platform at the same time. We can say that new profiles will be sub-profiles that you can create in addition to your main profile. It should be noted that other accounts will not be able to access all features in the first place. For example, features such as the Messenger application and Marketplace will not be supported in these profiles.
Meta states that it has been testing this feature for the last year. We can also say that it may be useful for users. Some people may want to keep their work and private lives separate. More than one personal account can work for this. Or it may be possible to have a more private Facebook experience by creating an account specific to only close friends. Let’s add that each account will have its own flow.
How to create personal accounts?
Personal accounts can be created under your profile photo at the top of the “Menu” page in the application.
Your new personal profile will then be added to the right of the profile section. By clicking here you will be able to switch between your personal accounts. Of course, let’s add that you can also access it directly from the top of your profile page.
The new feature has started to roll out globally as of today. Meta says it will come to everyone in the next few months.
