Elon Musk announces Tesla Cybertruck release date
Mentioning the Cyberturk model during the meeting with the investors, Elon Musk announced that they will start delivery in the third quarter of 2023. Stating that they are working to accelerate mass production, Musk said, “We accelerated our work for the delivery of the Cybertruck model. But mass production is unlikely to accelerate before 2024.” made statements.
Tesla CyberTruck will appear in 3 different versions. The company announced that it has decided to postpone the production of the entry-level single engine, two-wheel drive (RWD) model. It is worth noting that the number of pre-orders for the Tesla Cybertruck model is approximately 1.5 million.
Cybertruck promises to deliver “a better driving experience than a truck with more performance than a sports car.” When introduced in November 2019, a base price of $39,900 was promised for the entry-level single-engine Cybertruck.
The three-engine version of the Cybertruck model will have a range of more than 800 kilometers. However, it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
The most important development in the Cybertruck model will be in the electronics part. Full Self Driving software runs on what Tesla calls Hardware 3 today. The 4th version, which started to be developed last year, will be released with Cybertruck.
