Samsung has finally announced the date of the Unpacked 2023 event, where it will introduce the Galaxy S23 family. The first leak about the processor of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, which is planned to be introduced next year, has appeared.
Samsung will prefer Exynos for the Galaxy S24 processor
The Galaxy S23 family, which will be introduced next month, will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor developed by Qualcomm for Samsung. The performance core, which is 3.2GHz in the standard Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors, will be increased to 3.36GHz in the Samsung Galaxy S23 family. The other cores of the processor will run at 2.8GHz and 2.0GHz frequencies.
According to South Korean Vampire King, Samsung has started working to use Exynos processors in its flagship models again. The Galaxy S24 family, which will be introduced in 2024, will be powered by the Exynos 2400 processor. As in previous years, it is estimated that the company will launch versions with both Snapdragon and Exynos processors.
It is among the leaked information that the Samsung DS division has started to develop the Exynos 2400. Awaiting the approval of the MX division for mass production, Exynos 2400 will begin production in November 2023.
Analysts estimate that including only the Snapdragon processor in the Galaxy S23 series causes Samsung financial problems. It is thought that the Galaxy S24 models with Exynos processors will be offered for sale in the European market. Korean media announced that the Galaxy S23 series will be more expensive than the Galaxy S22 family introduced in 2022.
