Preferring the Exynos platform for a long time in the flagship smartphone competition, Samsung managed to surprise users with the Galaxy S23. In this context, we can say that what the next Galaxy S24 family will offer has been a matter of great curiosity. Now, new details of the Exynos 2400 platform, which is expected to power the Galaxy S24, have emerged.

Exnos 2400 features begin to take shape

For those who don’t know, the Exynos 2400 will be based on Samsung’s power efficiency focused 4nm 4LPP+ technology. At this point, new leaks have confirmed that the processor will be powered by one Cortex-X4, nine Cortex-A720 and Cortex-A520 cores running at 3.10GHz. On the graphics side, it will appear with the Xclipse 940, developed in partnership with AMD.

According to the shared report, Xclipse 940 will have 12 CU (computing units), 768SP (stream processor), 48TMU (texture mapping unit) and 32 ROP (processing output). In addition, it is stated that this platform, which will be supported by the 8.5 Gb/s LPDDR5X DRAM standard, will allow 8K 60FPS video recording over codecs.

In addition, camera upgrades are not limited to this. Leaks say that the processor will be equipped with an advanced ISP (image signal processor) that supports a 320MP resolution primary camera. Apart from that, Exynos 2400 will bring with it UFS 4.0 storage and various wireless connectivity standards.

While everything on paper looks impressive for the Exynos 2400, we’ll have to wait for real-world or synthetic testing for final results. However, we are confident that the improved 4nm process will offer both performance and efficiency gains over the previous Exynos 2200. The Exynos 2400 is expected to hit the market in its fourth quarter this year.
