Startup company Jetson wants to revolutionize transportation with its electric personal flying vehicle, which resembles a vehicle that a Star Wars Stormtrooper can drive. While doing this, he says he is not trying to solve the climate crisis and just wants you to have fun.
The firm’s founders, Peter Ternström and Tomasz Patan, first started posting videos of their Jetson Ones on YouTube in 2019, two years after development of the tool began. But it didn’t go unnoticed by people until it released its official launch videos late last year. Ternström, one of the founders, says they have received 163 pre-orders worth $92,000 since launch.
According to Jetson, the vehicle powered by eight electric motors can fly for 20 minutes. No flying experience is required, Ternström says: “We’re confident we can put anyone in a Jetson and teach them to fly in five minutes. Plus, it weighs less than 250 pounds (about 115kg) and less than 55 nautical miles per hour (about 100km) according to US Federal Aviation Administration rules.” Since it has a small top speed, a pilot’s license will not be required to fly the Jetson.”
Jetson is targeting deliveries of Jetson One by 2023. . .
