December tends to follow October and November. As they end with green candles, December is also likely to feature a green candle at the end of the month, according to crypto expert Camille Lemmens. The expert shares four altcoins that should perform well in December.
First ranked altcoin: Illuvium (ILV)
The gaming industry will boom. Blockchain games will also grow. The reason I chose Illuvium for today’s projects is twofold. On November 28, Epic launched the Beta version on the Games Store. This is a distribution service for digital video games. The platform serves Microsoft Windows and macOS. In other words, they are a big player. They released Illuvium Arena. On Epic Games Store, the game received a score of 4.8 out of 5 from players. That’s a pretty solid score. You can see for yourself while the video is playing in the background.
The second reason is that the altcoin price has increased by 124% in the last 30 days. ILV has experienced a major decline since its ATH of $1911 in November 2021. 4B However, its price has almost tripled since October. It’s still 18x away from 4C ATH, but I can see it getting there again and surpassing it. It uses Illuvium Unreal Engine 5. So, you can expect ‘unreal’ visuals. They are very impressive. The new Arena game from Epic Games is free to download and contains random items. As blockchain gaming is poised to take off, I see Illuvium doing well.
Chainlink (LINK) comes in second place
Chainlink is my next choice. We saw the end of LINK’s one and a half 2 year sideways movement around $6. It rose to $16.52. This is only 3.25 times higher than its ATH for the altcoin. With the upcoming increase, LINK will take another step in this direction. I’m talking about Chainlink staking v0.2. In December 2022, we saw staking v0.1. It has a staking pool of 25 million LINK. Now, Chainlink has increased the pool size to 45 million LINK.
Currently, there is a transition period that begins on November 28 and continues until December 7. This is for existing stakers. They have a guaranteed place in Staking v0.2. Early access will begin on December 7. Public access will come into effect on December 11th. Provided that the pool is not full. It is possible that staking v0.2 will bring a new uptrend for the LINK token.
Third altcoin on the list: Polygon (MATIC)
As you follow from Kriptokoin.com, Polygon was in the news throughout 2023. You couldn’t escape their constant updates, partnerships and other stuff. They were left, right and center in all the news throughout 2023. Polygon founder Sander Nailwal posted this on X. Two big events are coming up.
On December 14, we can expect a public demo of the next generation ZK products. He goes on to say that this could be a major milestone for the entire Ethereum ecosystem. On December 23, Polygon will change the game for RWAs and enterprise adoption. As you know, Polygon also started its zkEVM journey. The new zkEVM chains are different from PoS chains. However, these are two different scaling solutions. Another sector on the rise in crypto is RWA. Or the tokenization of real-world assets. This could become a $10 trillion market by 2030. That’s only 6 years away. It is possible that these two events will give MATIC a boost in December.
Last ranked altcoin: ImmutableX (IMX)
ImmutableX is planning a zkEVM mainnet launch in December 2023 or January 2024. The first test net went live in August this year. We saw the Re-Genesis testnet in November. Now it’s time for the zkEVM mainnet. More than 50 games are already lined up for this new Blockchain.
IMX price also performed well in November. It increased by 111 percent and reached $1.49. IMX ATH was $9.52 in November 2021. So, we need to see 7 times to get back there. I predict that the altcoin price will far exceed this ATH during the next bull run. However, for now, this means good support for the token in December. What’s also exciting is that they are developing Blockchain even further. Immutable will transform Blockchain into an application Blockchain in 2024. This is the same as Injective in Cosmos, for example. Application Blockchains are application-specific Blockchains. There is nothing surprising. However, they increase both throughput and scalability. Your typical AAA game is big on data and better have its own Blockchain. It’s no surprise that ImmutableX and Polygon have formed a partnership. Here’s the explanation why, zkEVM Blockchains.
