CD Projekt RED has finally announced the expansion it’s been working on for Cyberpunk 2077. Dubbed Phantom Liberty, the expansion took place during a special Night City Wire livestream focused primarily on the upcoming Edgerunners spin-off Netflix anime. A teaser has also been released for the new expansion.
Described as a “spy – thriller expansion,” the new story expansion takes players back to Night City alongside both V and Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves). The studio said the expansion will introduce a new cast of characters and take players to a new location of the sprawling Night City in one of its districts.
CD Projekt RED is rumored to be making two major story additions for Cyberpunk 2077, just like The Witcher 3, but we may have to wait a long time to see that. The release date for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty has not been announced yet, but we can assume that it will be released in some part of 2023. Let’s also say that the expansion will only come to PC, Xbox Series XS, PlayStation 5 and Google Stadia. Older consoles will not receive the Phantom Liberty.
