Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank visited Turkey’s Automobile Enterprise Group (TOGG) factory last week. Sharing the knowledge that after the production facility in Gemlik is completed, it will be the most environmentally friendly factory in Europe, Varank once again reiterated that the domestic car will come off the mass production line at the end of 2022.

TOGG Gemlik factory is nearing the end
Explaining the latest situation regarding the construction of the Gemlik Facility, TOGG underlined that it has come to an end and said:
As the construction of our TOGG Gemlik facility draws to a close, our excitement grows. Our infrastructure works continue at full speed in line with our plans, together with the paint, body, assembly facilities and the construction of the vehicle test track.
Turkey’s Automobile Enterprise Group; He stated that 11 thousand tons of steel was assembled in the Paint Facility. Stating that the installation of 20 thousand square meters of roof panel has been completed, the company stated that 10 thousand square meters of blind formwork has been installed. In addition, he said that a paint tanker has started to be placed for the production line.
Providing information about the details of the Body Facility, TOGG announced that the assembly of 4 thousand 900 tons of steel has been completed. In addition, he underlined that 13 thousand square meters of roof panel assembly was made and 7 thousand 300 square meters of blind formwork assembly was finished.
In the 1-minute video, which includes the Assembly Facility, one of the most important parts; It was stated that 7 thousand 800 tons of steel was installed. It was reported that 13 thousand 50 square meters of iron were connected. He also stated that 38 thousand square meters of roof panel installation was completed. TOGG stated the following about its infrastructure works:
- 2 thousand meters of rain water line was built
- 3 thousand 500 meters of waste water line was built
- 830 meters of culvert manufacturing has been completed
- 2 thousand 500 meters of perimeter wall manufacturing completed
- 185 thousand cubic meters excavated
- 136 thousand cubic meters of filling was done
- Vehicle test track production started
