Next year, the Galaxy Z Flip series may receive some of the most significant upgrades since the first model was launched in 2020. According to leaks, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will have a larger flip screen and a new hinge. The updated hinge design will reportedly make the foldable screen crease less noticeable. But it will still be visible.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4, which is currently on the market, carries a 1.9-inch cover screen with very good usability. But next year, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will reportedly feature a larger than 3.0-inch cover screen. In other words, the cover screen will be about 60 percent larger or more.
Samsung has increased the size of the cover screen before, and this will be the second refresh of this element of the Galaxy Z Flip. The cover screen, which was much smaller in the first model, was enlarged in later models. Before the Galaxy Z Flip 3, foldable clamshell phones had to be content with a 1.1-inch cover screen. Moving from here, we can see a larger cover screen on the Galaxy Z Flip 5 too.
Another big upgrade that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 will reportedly receive next year has to do with its hinge design. The phone will have a new hinge so that the foldable screen trace will be less visible. At least that’s the rumor. However, it is not said that the screen wrinkle will be completely eliminated.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5 is expected to launch in August or September 2023.
