Samsung fans are eagerly awaiting the flagship Galaxy S23 series, which will be released in early 2023. According to the leaks and rumors circulating on the internet, there seems to be a lot to be excited about.

Well, what have we learned about the Galaxy S23 series so far; What do the leaks tell us?

1. New 200MP camera

Samsung first introduced its 108MP camera with the Galaxy S20 Ultra, which it launched in 2020. The company is now preparing to introduce the new 200MP sensor with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Some sources say that the new 200MP sensor in the S23 Ultra allows it to take significantly more detailed shots in low light conditions with big improvements.

Reliable leaker Ice Universe also stated that the default image resolution on the device will be 12MP, meaning it will use pixel grouping technology to combine neighboring pixels into a 16-by-1 matrix.

You’ll also be able to shoot in 50MP and 200MP and easily zoom in on your shots without sacrificing quality. However, the larger file size will fill your storage faster.

2. A dedicated Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor

Perhaps the best news about the S23 lineup is that Samsung will use the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in all S23 models in all regions, including Europe and India, which usually get Exynos variants. Moreover, some sources even say that a special version of this processor will be developed exclusively for the Galaxy S23 series.

The fact that the phone will feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor instead of Exynos will mean there will be no change in performance no matter where you buy it, resulting in consistent gaming performance, photography and thermal management.

3. Faster storage and RAM

Along with the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, the Galaxy S23 series will also include the next UFS storage standard UFS 4.0 and faster LPDDR5X RAM. As a reminder, current Samsung flagship phones use the UFS 3.1 standard and LPDDR5 RAM.

4. Minor design changes for the S23 Ultra

If you’ve been waiting for a new design for the Galaxy S23 Ultra, you may be disappointed to know that most leaks will look almost identical to the Galaxy S22 Ultra, perhaps with a slightly larger camera module.

We also expect the edges to be straighter this time, so the windshield will likely be less curved than before. You may be a fan of the angular design, but this can also make the device more uncomfortable to hold.

5. New design for S23 and S23+

The base Galaxy S23 and S23+ will have a new look thanks to the redesigned camera module. Unlike the S22 and S22+, which have a contour-cut design, the S23 and S23+ will mimic the look of the S22 Ultra with the camera lenses protruding outward.

When Will Galaxy S23 Arrive?

Samsung has not announced an official release date for the Galaxy S23 series. But based on past launches, we can assume it will launch in February 2023.
