iPhone 13 becomes the best-selling iPhone model in India

According to a new report by CyberMedia Research, Apple’s successful performance in India marks the second quarter of 2023. The technology giant experienced a 70 percent increase in iPhone shipments thanks to the demand for both new and old iPhone models.

It was stated that sales mainly consisted of iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 series. Launched in 2021, the iPhone 13 series stood out as the most popular iPhone model in India with a 52 percent market share. Just behind it was the iPhone 14, which accounts for 45 percent of iPhone shipments.

The discounted prices of old generation devices such as iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 did not escape the attention of users. According to the report, these models accounted for 3 percent of the company’s shipments to India in 2023.

On the tablet side, the relatively affordable 9th generation iPad stands out. It managed to become the best-selling model with a 42 percent market share. In the sales that followed, it was stated that the M1 iPad Air and iPad Pros were successful.

The success of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 has also benefited general smartphone shipments. The researchers predict that Apple, which has captured 4 percent of the Indian smartphone market in 2022, will capture about 7 percent this year. Earlier reports revealed that the iPhone 15 series may be delayed.
