Ethereum Price Forecast: Ethereum (ETH) is expected to reach $7609 this year. This estimate; It came from a panel of 33 fintech, cryptocurrency, and NFT experts.
According to Finder.com’s latest Ethereum Price Forecasts Report, ETH will reach $7609 in 2022. This is approximately 102% higher than its price at the beginning of 2022. However, ETH is expected to end the year at $6500. Finder’s founder, Fred Schebesta, predicts that ETH will peak at $7,000.
Brighton University senior lecturer Paul Levy thinks that ETH can go up to $ 9000. However, according to him, ETH will end the year around $8000:
“If Ethereum stays on top of technical and innovation challenges, it will potentially continue to grow erratically with potential for growth in the medium and long term. This is an early innovation success story and innovation potential needs to be matched by greater innovation capability.”
According to the average of the forecast from the panel, ETH could be $10,810 by the end of 2025 and $26,338 by the end of 2030. This seems like a pretty high target compared to the current price of ETH. However, these figures are 30% and 48% lower, respectively, than the panel’s estimates last year.
Permission’s chief product officer, Vanessa Harris, thinks that the switch to PoS will lead to a significant drop in the price of ETH. According to him, ETH will be worth just $100 by 2030:
“Ethereum has the strongest ecosystem of any smart contract platform. But it struggles with high gas fees and low scalability. Still, the move to Proof-of-Stake is unlikely to solve Ethereum’s scalability challenges. We need to look at L2s and sidechains to support ETH scalability.”
