Sending a video message to the Turkic Council Media Forum event, President Erdoğan made another statement that will be talked about a lot. Erdogan said that social media has become a threat to national security. Erdogan attributed these words to the fact that social media is not under any control.

“Today, with the spread of social media, we, along with all humanity, are frequently exposed to disinformation campaigns. Due to false and distorted news, millions of vulnerable people’s lives are darkened, serious traumas and dramas are experienced in the world. It has become a threat to both social peace and national security of states.
As with other strategic issues, we have to cut ourselves off in media and communication. As the Turkish world, we should take initiative in this regard, share experience, join forces and seek ways to make the most effective use of the opportunities at our disposal. “
