Despite his magnificent story, Kojima, who was criticized by some players for the way he presented this story, made statements that attracted the attention of the players in a podcast he participated recently.
While allegations that Hideo Kojima is working on his next big game have been circulating lately, Kojima made a statement that further fueled these claims. Participating in NHK Radio’s Wonderful World of Game Music podcast, Kojima explained that one of the ‘projects’ he is currently working on is “a big AAA (huge production) game that everyone will want to play”.
He dropped the bomb and left without sharing information about the game
While Kojima does not share any more details about his new big project he is working on, some claims are already in circulation about what the game might be. Accordingly, the new production of Kojima’s studio Kojima Productions will be a game that Microsoft will publish. However, there is no official statement or even a small clue on this subject yet.
On the other hand, Kojima didn’t just get players excited with his AAA gameplay description on the podcast. Kojima also announced that he wants to do a small project that is not an open world or shooter game. He also revealed that Kojima Productions studio, which has recently started operating in Los Angeles, is also working on plays, movies and anime. Finally, he added that they had difficulty in recruiting new employees to the studio where they developed the game due to the pandemic conditions, and that the number of employees is not enough at the moment.
