Guinness World Records organization continues to give interesting awards. In the new statement from the organization, it was noticed that there was a world record of interest to automobile enthusiasts. Here is the longest car in the world at 30.5 meters.
The limousine is based on the seventies Cadillac Eldorado, but is considerably longer than the regular Eldorado. It has 13 axles, 26 wheels, helipad, jacuzzi, television, refrigerator, mini golf course, swimming pool and can carry 75 passengers.
Features of the American Dream, the world’s longest car
The car was first prepared in 1986 by Jay Ohrberg in California. Designed from Cadillac Eldorado and called the “American Dream”, this interesting design measures 30.5 meters with 26 wheels. It also has two V8 engines, both front and rear.
The American Dream has its own swimming pool with a large waterbed, tub, mini golf course and even a diving board And it even has a helipad. The car can carry a payload of 2250 kilograms to support up to 75 people and the helipad.
Rented for movies in the 1990s due to its attractive design, this vehicle was soon forgotten due to the difficulties of its length. Due to the length of the car, it became difficult to find a parking spot, and its popularity made it less preferred.
Mike Dezer, owner of the Dezerland Park Car Museum and Tourist Attraction Center, bought the car and took it to Florida by dividing it into two to restore it to its old days. Dezer agreed to collaborate with the Autoseum (the museum that owned the car) to restore the car and began restoration in 2019.
It took three years to complete the project costing more than $250,000, including transportation, materials and labor. However, it eventually made it into the Guinness Book of World Records.
