You may be tired of hearing about the popular billionaire Elon Musk, but considering the companies he owns, it seems like he will not be on the agenda for a long time. Elon Musk’s aerospace company SpaceX has reportedly bought the biggest ad campaign from Musk’s social media company Twitter. The aim is to promote Starlink.

The ad campaign will promote Starlink, SpaceX’s satellite internet service targeting potential customers in Australia and Spain, according to CNBC. The price of the advertising package SpaceX purchased is $250,000.

SpaceX developed Starlink to provide high-speed internet connectivity to people in areas underserved or not served by cable or fiber optic infrastructure. Starlink provides high-speed internet service to its subscribers with SpaceX’s orbiting satellite constellations upon purchasing the necessary equipment.

Twitter is in trouble with advertisers

While the acquisition of Twitter by Musk, mass layoffs, fired executives, changes on Twitter Blue and approved accounts are on the agenda, advertisers have started to move away from this chaos environment.

General Motors, Audi, Volkswagen, General Mills, Pfizer, United Airlines, Mondelez and more have decided to stop advertising spending on Twitter for the time being. It is a big problem for Twitter that these companies stop advertisements, which earns about 90 percent of its revenue from advertisements. In addition, WPP PLC, one of the world’s largest advertising companies, started to warn its customers about Twitter ads.

Elon Musk, on the other hand, is trying to make Twitter less dependent on advertisers. He made Twitter Blue and the blue tick badge for $8 to turn Twitter into a subscription platform and provide additional benefits. The fact that everyone got the blue badge and rose to the approved account status caused the imitation accounts to create chaos.
