Twitter wants to rush the lawsuit process

Elon Musk’s lawyers say Twitter has taken unreasonably fast legal action over allegations that the Tesla and SpaceX CEO unfairly refused to buy the social network for $44 billion. They are confident that such tactics will obscure the truth about fake accounts on the platform and force the defendant – namely Elon Musk – to take over Twitter.

Musk’s deal with Twitter is expected to close by October 24, 2022, but the social network requested the first hearing at the end of September, and Musk’s team is looking to move the case to February 13, 2023.

Still, the first hearing in the Twitter case against Musk is scheduled for July 19.
