Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, was on the agenda of the whole world with a statement he made in the past months. The 51-year-old businessman announced that he plans to buy the popular social media platform Twitter with a $44 billion offer. However, in the following days, some negativities began to occur between the platform and Musk.
After the events, it was reported that Musk gave up on purchasing the platform. The reason for this was that Twitter did not provide accurate information about fake accounts and the dismissals in the company. Musk doesn’t want the lawsuit to take place until 2023
Elon Musk’s legal team spoke about the lawsuit filed by Twitter. In the statements made, it was emphasized that they wanted the case not to start until next year, on the grounds that the company unreasonably requested a speedy trial. To open it even more, Musk wants the case to start in February of 2023, and he thinks Twitter is acting fast in this regard.
Twitter, which does not comment on the statements of Musk’s lawyers, demands that the case take place in the middle of next September. This is because the merger agreement between Musk and the company is valid until October 24. This is an indication of why Twitter is rushing to sue.
According to the news of Bloomberg and Reuters, July 19; In other words, a hearing on the subject will be held in the coming days. It is expected that a decision will be made at this hearing when the case will be held.
