Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX companies, announced their new technology called ‘Tesla Bot’ at the Tesla AI Day event held last August. Tesla Bot, Tesla’s unmanned robot, will be tasked with doing ordinary tasks that we humans are tired of doing but have to do, such as kitchen shopping and house cleaning.
Although Tesla Bot managed to create a great excitement in the world on the day it was announced, it has not come up with any new news until today. Elon Musk, who participated in Lex Fridman’s podcast, finally shared new details about the Tesla Bot. Elon Musk made statements showing that Tesla Bot may not be just an employee.

Responding to Lex Fridman’s question about the plans for the Tesla Bot, Elon Musk explained that he thought the Tesla Bot could turn into more than a monotonous worker devoid of emotion. Elon Musk opened up this thought further and shared the following statements:
“This isn’t exactly part of Tesla’s primary mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy, but making a humanoid robot that can interact with the world and help in many different ways is extremely beneficial for the world. Perhaps one of these ways is emotional labor in addition to the intended factory labor. Not all robots are the same. This personality can evolve to suit its owner or whatever you call it. ”
With these statements, Elon Musk shared that Tesla Bot can develop a ‘unique’ personality. But Musk added that the main purpose of the robot is still to work. Finally, Musk also stated that Tesla Bots can be a very good friend for people.
